Company Profile

Global Pot Icon Limited (formerly Global Pot Company Limited) is a Ghanaian-owned company founded in 2007 and re-registered in 2013 under RGD TNo: 202604185596595 (ACT 1963, ACT 179). We trade crude oil, refined petroleum products, round logs, sawn timber and general merchandise.

Headquartered in Tema, Ghana, we support both local and international customers with timber exports, oil & gas, and other commodities. Our timber sourcing covers Eastern, Ashanti, Northern and Brong-Ahafo regions and we ship to markets such as India and Vietnam.

Our Vision

Our vision is to make timber and trade more accessible while building a dependable and sustainable business for our partners.

Service Profile

Arranging processed timber at the loading yard

We work with partners in transport, oil & gas and related industries to buy, sell and export commodities like gold, cashew nuts, shea nuts and timber. Our timber exports include Papao, Teak and Tarli wood.

Papao Wood & Raw Timber Trade

Artisans working in the logs

We export Papao wood (Doussie) to buyers in Asia. Shipments are typically prepared in 20-foot containers with logs around 40cm in diameter and 2.7–2.8m in length. Logs are sourced from Brong Ahafo and Northern regions, then moved to Tema Port for export to countries such as India and Vietnam.

Demand for Timber & Gold

Timber demand remains strong in markets like Vietnam, China and India. Gold also remains in demand in Europe and the Middle East, including Australia and Dubai. We keep market needs in mind as we plan shipments and product sourcing.

Gold bars in a secure storage area

Our gold trade is supported by transparent documentation and careful handling. This allows us to deliver quality and trust to buyers across export markets.

Shipping & Logistics

A Stringent Safety Policy

Our shipping teams coordinate container loading from farmland to port, with quality checks and Forestry Commission documentation at each stage. We aim to move products safely and efficiently from the field to international markets.

Trading & Shipping Principle

We buy and sell raw timber from Northern, Brong Ahafo and other regions of Ghana at negotiated prices. Our export capacity of around 30 containers per month helps us deliver a reliable and flexible supply.

Strict Vehicle Vetting

Loading Timber from the farmland Moving Timber from the farmland

We have strengthened our timber operations with a sharp focus on safety. Our vetting process applies to all haulage partners involved in transporting logs from plantations.

We limit contracted trucks to those under 25 years old and verify that all haulage vehicles meet international transport conventions and national safety regulations.

Corporate Responsibility

Local Social and Economic Development

We create value through jobs, training and community engagement. This helps us build stronger relationships in farming communities and support sustainable harvests.

Equal Opportunity and Diversity

We support diversity and equal opportunity in hiring and development. Our goal is fair treatment for all employees and contractors.

Sustainable Approach & Environmental Responsibility

We are aware of the environmental impact of our operations. We provide safety equipment and training, and take steps to reduce health risks for staff and local communities.

Our Ethics, Values and Industrial Safety

Respect, responsibility and ethical conduct guide our operations. We aim for zero accidents, zero pollution incidents, and zero tolerance for fraud or corruption.
